Why do I sometimes see this?
You will only see this option on larger quotes which have bigger load lists.
Why do I need to rebuild a load list?
Every time you create a quote, change dates, update quantities, add new line items, or save a quote, then lots of complicated calculations run in the background.
For example
- All components are calculated, taking into account product widths and lengths, unit QTYs, stock rules and structural bay configurations.
- The total components are then cross-referenced against all the bookings and quotes in the system against the current quote's delivery, hire and collection dates.
Normally, this runs in the background and you don't notice it.
For larger quotes, the calculations take longer to complete. When the calculations are running, your system will run slower when you update the quote. This means if you have to make several small updates, it will take you longer to make the changes.
- To stop the 'slowness' the system pauses the calculations, so you can work on updating the quote.
- To restart the calculations you need to manually press the update button
Note: Your system will automatically press the update button at midnight to ensure your load lists and stock reports are up to date.
How does this affect stock reports?
Because your stock reports are driven by the items in the load list, your stock reports will be out of date.
To refresh your stock reports you will need to click the rebuild load list button.
What happens if I don't update a load list?
Marquee Tech will automatically update your load lists at Midnight every day.
This will:
- Run all the calculations for the stock requirements.
- Update your load lists.
- Refresh your stock reports.
